Prepare for some really cool changes to the way that the supervisor hierarchy works (entirely opt-in), a bunch of new administrator options around reporting, some new momentum nodes to play with as well as a bunch of quiz improvements

AR-6325 | Supervisor Hierarchy Updates

There are some really cool changes coming with the supervisor hierarchy process. In order to support supervisor functionality in Acorn, we require administrators to do an upload with their entire organisational structure included. This is no longer the case.

The new process will allow for admins to upload only partial lists of users, correctly updating those users, leaving the rest of the organisation's structure intact. Additionally, admins can also change the user's supervisor when editing them in the system, seeing the change occur immediately. This will make the management of supervisors much easier, and allow for supervisor use cases we did not previously support.

However, due to the significant change to the way this is structured and the importance that existing hierarchies continue to work, we are going to do a gradual rollout of this feature. When this patch launches, you will not yet see the new functionality. We will enable this for sites individually, to ensure data integrity. If you want to start using this new functionality, please contact support to have the new version enabled. We will also be enabling this for everyone over the coming months.

AR-6697 | Visible Did Not Complete course status

Previously, when a user unenrols from a course before they complete it, this 'archived enrolment' record is not shown within the system, either in their training history or in reporting. However, there are some use cases where admins or users need to view this information. We've made a change in reporting to allow administrators to enable a setting to view this information in their completion report.

Additionally, we've also created a new tenancy feature that will allow users to see this in their training history. We added this restriction due to concerns that this will overwhelm some user's training histories with these partial records. If you want users to be able to see these records in their training history, please contact support.

AR-6696 | Unenrol Subcourses

We've introduced a new feature that gives admins further control over the enrolment and unenrolment in subcourses. This new setting means that an admin can setup a subcourse activity to unenrol from the subcourse when a user unenrols from it's parent. This setting can be applied for each activity, giving admins flexibility over which content is affected. It also cascades, so if you link multiple subcourses together, this can be used to unenrol users from many courses at once.

NOTE: In order to limit any accidental usage of this feature, this is only available via a new tenancy feature. Please contact support to have this feature enabled.

AR-6777 | Momentum - Create User Trigger

As mentioned in the last patch notes, the new Trigger Node type has a lot of potential applications, the first of which is already here. This allows a momentum to be automatically triggered when a user is first created. Consider this for your next onboarding or account setup momentum!

This node can also be configured to trigger when a user first logs in, or to only trigger on specific user creation types. Want a different process for if a user self-registers, or appears in a bulk user upload? Now you can.

Changes ✨ 

AR-6686 | Quiz Field Description now supports markdown

We've added the ability to add markdown to the quiz field description. This includes the ability to do basic formatting, include tables and lists, and upload images and videos. This will allow admins to create quizzes with more complex questions, or provide additional context without the need of extra fields.

AR-6687 | Add Grade Category to Grading Respondents Table

The Grading Respondents table now includes the information of the custom grades as defined by admins. This will let admins see the specific grade results on this page as well.

AR-6668 | Cohort field assignments calculation performance improvements

We've done some backend work to allow the calculation of users into cohorts based on field assignments to be performed much faster. This means that including more completion cohorts is much more reliable, and that making changes will be seen by affected users much more quickly. This will also have positive impacts to things like reporting and user uploads, as the cohort calculation portion of those other functions will also see performance improvements.

AR-6740 | Momentum - Suspend User Node

We've created a new node within momentum that allows the workflow to suspend users. This could be used as part of a leave request form, or to manage active users within your tenancy.

AR-6741 | Momentum - Time Constant Offsets

The exisiting time constant within momentum can now be tweaked to include a time offset. This means you could do more complex time based logic, like moving an application one month after it starts, or showing different form nodes depending on how long it has been between reviews.

AR-6782 | Copy course fails to complete

We've fixed a problem where copying a course fails to complete under specific circumstances.

AR-6752 | Forum notification link redirects to forbidden page

The link to the forum within a forum notification email now correctly checks the user's access to the relevant content, and allows them to view the page.

AR-6776 | Quiz Plus option points not saving

Fixed a problem with the option specific points within quiz plus not saving as expected.

AR-6721 | Unable to update duration for program

Resolved a bug where admins were unable to update the duration of a program.

AR-6747 | Add validation for missing form fields in momentum form configuration

Added additional form validation for additional node configuration forms.

AR-6700 | Login Page doesn't use the translated language

The login page is now correctly translated into other languages. This is used when a language is set for an entire site, or when a user accesses a tenancy specific login page.
