Creating an Event
This article will teach you how to create and modify an Event. Events represent the topic/title that the session will cover. Sessions specify the various occurrences of an Event, and can also contain learning Activities.
1. Proceed to the Live Learning from the Catalogue > Click > Click 'Start Editing'.
2. Fill in and Update the following Event settings:
- Event Name - The title of the Event.
- Event Description - The description of the Event.
- Expression of Interest- Enabling expressions of interest will allow users to express their interest for this Event. Users who express their interest will receive email notifications when a new Session becomes available within the Event.
- Notify Expression of Interest Upon Withdrawal - Send a notification to Facilitators when the number of users who have expressed their interest reaches this number. Enter 0 to omit this notification. This option will only appear if Expression of Interests are turned on.
- Session Workflow Approvers - The user types that can be chosen as approvers for Sessions in this Event. This only applies to Sessions with approval workflows. Multiple user types can be chosen.
Notify Expression of Interest Upon Withdrawal
3. Click to confirm.
You have now successfully created an Event within a Live Learning!
Now you can create a Session or Activity within the Live Learning.
How to update an Event:
1. Proceed to the Live Learning > Click > Click 'Start Editing' > Click Next to the Event.
2. Update the settings of the Event by following step 2 of the above guide.
3. Click to confirm.
You have now successfully updated an Event!
