How to access the Manage CPD page
Navigate to Admin > Tenancy Management > Manage CPD
CPD Category
What is a CPD category?
A CPD category is associated with an individual type of CPD point that a user can earn by completing related content. These usually relate to different learning requirements within a CPD portfolio.
How to create a CPD category:
1. Click into the CPD CATEGORIES tab within the Manage CPD page.
2. Click on the + ADD A NEW CPD CATEGORY button.
3. Name the category.
4. Give it a description (optional).
5. Click on the SAVE button.
CPD Portfolio
What is a CPD Portfolio?
A CPD portfolio is a collection of CPD categories that relate to a common role or area of expertise.
How to create a CPD Portfolio:
1. Click into the CPD PORTFOLIOS tab within the Manage CPD page.
2. Click on the + ADD A NEW CPD PORTFOLIO button.
3. Name the portfolio.
4. Give it a description (optional).
5. Add CPD categories (you can come back and add or remove categories later, but have to add at least one category to the portfolio while creating it).
5. Assign a cohort (users you want this CPD portfolio to apply to).
NOTE: You can only assign one cohort to a CPD Portfolio. If you assign more than one, then users have to be part of all assigned cohorts to be included in this CPD Portfolio.
6. Enter a Total Required (total CPD points a user should earn each year in this portfolio).
7. Enter a Category Required (total CPD points a user should earn in each category each year).
8. Enter a Start Month (Month that the CPD cycle begins).
9. Enter a value for Overflow Months (How many months before the start month, a user can earn excess points and have it apply to the next CPD cycle).
5. Click on the SAVE button.
Adding CPD Categories to a Portfolio
1. Go to CPD PORTFOLIOS tab within the Manage CPD page.
2. Open the CPD Portfolio that you want to add categories to by clicking on the button.
3. Click Edit Portfolio.
4. Select the categories you want to add from the drop down list called 'CPD Categories'.
5. Click the SAVE button.
