How to set up Group and Coupon Purchasing

There are two additional types of purchase options available on the payment page while purchasing content:

1. Group Purchasing

2. Coupon Purchasing

Admins can see these options on the payment page after the checkout page, and you can select to Purchase Coupons or Purchase for Group.

Admins have the ability to set up both Group Purchasing and Coupon Purchasing through the 'Bulk Purchase Options' through the additional settings.

Group Purchasing

Supervisors or cohort managers can only make group purchases as they need to select the individual user accounts for which they want to purchase the content.

Group purchasing is available for pre-determined users, that is the supervisor or cohort manager should select the individuals, and then the system will calculate the total cost and pay for the selected group of users.

Group purchases are unavailable to external users and cannot be purchased from the external catalogue checkout.

Coupon Purchasing

Coupons can be purchased by All Users, External Users, Supervisors and Cohort Managers depending on what you have selected when this is turned on in the settings by Admin. Users can also purchase coupons and receive a unique coupon code that can be redeemed later when they want to enrol or register for content. Users can buy the coupon for multiple users and share the code with others to purchase content.

 

To enable and add the Group Purchasing option to the payment page, you can follow the following steps:

1. Go to the 'Additional Settings' on the payment dashboard page by clicking Admin > Payment Dashboard > Additional Settings

2. Under the 'Bulk Purchase Options' click the checkbox on the left side of 'Enable Group Purchases'.

3. Under the Authenticated users, you can now tick the box for Supervisors or cohort managers or both.

4. Then enter the Group Purchase Quantity Limit and click save.

5. Coupon purchasing has been successfully configured!

1. Go to the 'Additional Settings' on the payment dashboard page by clicking Admin > Payment Dashboard > Additional Settings

2. Under the 'Bulk Purchase Options' click the checkbox on the left side of 'Enable Coupon Purchases'.

3. Under Authenticated Users, you can now tick the box and select any or all of the following options: All Users, External Users, Supervisors, and Cohort Managers.

4. Then enter the Group Purchase Quantity Limit and click save.

5. Group purchasing has been successfully configured!
