Recording Training Completed Outside Acorn

Overview

Acorn allows administrators and learners to record training completed outside the platform (e.g. external conferences, face-to-face workshops, professional certifications) to maintain a complete training record.

Option 1: Learner self-records external training

1. The learner goes to My Learning > External Training > Create External Training.
2. Required fields: learning activity, provider, details, learning type, and status. 
3. Save Learning Activity. 
   
   
   

Option 2: Admin records training on behalf of a learner

1. Repeat the steps above after impersonating the user. More details here: How to Impersonate a User

CPD Points

External training records can be assigned CPD points. Enter the CPD points value when recording the training. The points will appear in the learner's CPD transcript.

Reporting

External training records can be exported with the External Learning Report. More details here: Generating, Filtering & Exporting Reports.
