Troubleshooting: Live Learning Attendance Not Recording After a Session
Resolve issues where attendance or completions are missing after a Live Learning session.
After a Live Learning session runs, completions should appear in learners’ training history once attendance is marked. If completions are missing, use this guide to identify and fix the issue.
Step 1: Confirm attendance has been marked
Completions are generated after an admin or facilitator marks attendance for the session, or one day after the session has concluded.
- Open the Live Learning. Click on the cog wheel > Start Editing > Open Session Filers > Check Show Past Sessions > Apply.
- Select the session and navigate to the View/Take Attendance tab.
- Confirm whether attendance has been submitted. If not, mark attendance now.

Step 2: Check the learner’s registration status
Only learners with a status of Registered (not Withdrawn or Waitlisted) can receive a completion when attendance is marked. If the learner was accidentally withdrawn before the session, their attendance cannot be recorded retroactively via the normal flow — contact Acorn Support.
Step 3: Allow time for processing
After attendance is marked, completions may take a few minutes to appear in training history. Wait a few minutes and refresh before escalating.
Step 5: Manually update a completion if needed
If attendance was marked but a completion still did not generate, an admin can manually add the completion. See How to Update Live Learning Completions.
