Why admins can't complete quizzes
By design, users with the Admin role cannot complete quizzes and assessments as learners. This is a platform safeguard to ensure assessment integrity — admins have access to quiz answers and settings, which would compromise the validity of their results.
Solution: Use a learner account to test quizzes
- Create a separate test user account with the Learner role only.
- Enrol that test account in the course.
- Log in as the test learner to complete the quiz.
- Alternatively, use the Impersonate feature on a learner account — see How to Use the Impersonate User Feature.
If you need quiz completion recorded for an admin
If an admin genuinely needs to complete a course for compliance reasons, remove the Admin role temporarily, complete the course as a learner, then re-add the Admin role. Contact Acorn Support if you need assistance.
