Release 1.7.10 brings new options for phased capability framework rollouts, a dedicated learner engagement email tool, and French-Canadian language support - alongside meaningful improvements to accessibility, content sync performance, and platform reliability.
What's New 🎊
Capability Assessment - No Assessment Setting - Roll out Capability frameworks gradually - without requiring formal assessments from day one. Administrators can now configure their tenancy so capabilities are acknowledged and assigned without scored submissions, making it easier to introduce the framework across the organisation.
Learner Engagement Emails - Administrators can now send targeted, scheduled email campaigns to learners directly from Acorn - for example, nudging learners who are partway through a course or haven't logged in recently. Every email includes a mandatory unsubscribe option.
French-Canadian Language Support - French-Canadian (fr-CA) is now available as a language option, separate from standard French - particularly relevant for Canadian customers with bilingual or public sector requirements.
Changes ✨
Accessibility improvements - Improved screen reader support by adding proper alt text to badge images and course icons. These changes are part of ongoing WCAG compliance work.
Instant Completions for Partnered Content - Completions for partnered content now sync in real-time between connected Acorn instances, so learners see their progress immediately after completing partnered content.
Supervisor digest emails - Supervisor digest emails for capability assessments now focus on active campaigns only, so supervisors see what needs their attention.
Print to PDF for Momentum forms - Administrators can now export Momentum forms as PDF documents. Note: available in the current Momentum experience.
Quiz grading performance - The quiz grading summary now loads in under one second for high-volume quizzes, down from over a minute on assessments with tens of thousands of responses.
Response analysis performance - Significant performance improvement when loading the Response Analysis tab on high-volume forms.
Course logs performance - Improved load times for the Course Logs page.
Scheduled reports reliability - Scheduled reports now run on a dedicated processing queue, improving reliability for customers who depend on reports arriving on schedule.
