Release 1.7.16 brings configurable video completion thresholds and thumbnail images for Interactions - alongside easier interaction browsing and fixes across Interactions, cohort assignment, and Live Learning facilitator notifications.
What's New 🎊
Video completion threshold - You can now decide how much of a video a learner must watch before it counts as complete. A new "Completion threshold (%)" field appears when creating or editing standalone videos and video activities inside courses and face-to-face events. New videos default to 90%, and any video created before this release keeps its previous behaviour, so your existing content is unaffected unless you choose to update it. Learn how to set it up.
Thumbnail images for Interactions - Interactions published to your catalogue can now have a cover image, so they look and browse just like courses and programs. Image files use their own artwork automatically, and for other file types (PDFs, audio, video, documents) you can search and select an image from Pexels right when you publish. Choosing a thumbnail is optional, and you can change or remove it at any time.
Improvements ✨
Browse all Interactions anytime - The "View All Interactions" option is now always available, so you can explore the full catalogue of interactions before you've submitted any of your own.
Bug Fixes 🐞
Fixed an issue where a video watched at double speed or faster was never marked complete, even when watched in full; watch time is now counted correctly at any playback speed. (LEARN-95)
Fixed an issue where assigning users to a cohort using user-field conditions could time out on large organisations, leaving some matching users unassigned. (CORE-150)
Fixed an issue in Live Learning where, after editing a course set up with groups, assignment-submission notifications were sent to all facilitators instead of only those managing the learner's group. (LEARN-5)
Fixed several minor display issues in Interactions, including tooltip alignment on capability-assessment forms, filters on the submitted-interactions view, and thumbnails on the bookmarks page. (VI-246)
Fixed an issue where editing a previously submitted interaction could silently remove linked capabilities that were no longer in the user's current assigned list. (VI-249)
