Release 1.7.19 - 26 August 2026

Release 1.7.19 opens up read-only Capabilities API access and brings Development Plans into Alpha - alongside fixes across Momentum, the reporting and completions APIs, live learning calendar invitations, and facilitator management.

What's New 🎊

Capabilities API - read access to libraries, capabilities and cohorts - You can now read your capability libraries, capability sets, individual capabilities, cohorts and each cohort's required capabilities directly through the Acorn API. Full reference documentation is published alongside the endpoints in the API docs, so integration teams can build against them straight away.

Development Plans (Alpha) - A rebuilt Development Plans experience: learners set development goals against your capability framework and track progress towards them. This is an early Alpha and still under active development, so expect it to keep changing while we shape it with a small group of customers - your existing development plan pages are unchanged for now. Contact your Customer Success team member if you would like your organisation considered.

Lots in testing coming soon - New SCORM 2004 player, AI Search, variable CPD points durations, forms performance improvements, Skills layering, Capability Coach. Stay tuned.

Bug Fixes 🐞

Fixed an issue in Momentum where editing an existing activity replaced the course page with an error message instead of opening the activity's settings. (CORE-263)

Fixed an issue in Momentum where the application name configured on a workflow did not prefill when a learner started an application from the "Start a new application" carousel on My Learning. (CORE-248)

Fixed an issue where merging two accounts could time out partway through and leave the pair half-merged on sites holding a large number of saved reports. (CORE-231)

Fixed an issue where the Report API reported a report as failed even though it had generated successfully. (CORE-166)

Fixed an issue where the completions API returned a server error instead of a clear validation message when a filter was supplied as a list. (CORE-227)

Fixed an issue where your site logo and custom footer images did not appear in live learning calendar invitations. (LEARN-111)

Fixed an issue where the same person could be assigned as a facilitator on one piece of content more than once - which made them impossible to remove and duplicated that content in their catalogue - and where copying a course left the copy without its facilitators. (LEARN-166)
