Alongside this major step forward, we’ve delivered a range of usability, accessibility, and performance improvements — all aimed at making Acorn smoother, clearer, and more connected for everyone.

What's New 🎊
AR-8276: New Universal Integration for Content and Completions
We’ve launched the first phase of our integrations strategy with a universal adapter framework that now supports both external content ingestion and completions tracking. Content brought in via this integration appears in the catalogue just like native content — it can be searched, tagged, and used across Acorn with full functionality. Completions for this content are also synced back into the platform, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
This architecture is built for reusability, using standard connectors, mapping frameworks, and alignment with Acorn’s capability model. It’s the foundation for future integrations with more platforms — without the need for custom builds each time.
How to get started:
This feature is available to clients on request. If you're interested in integrating external content or syncing completions, please contact your account manager or support team. We'll work with you to enable API access, configure the connection, and guide you through the setup process.
Why did we do this?
To help customers connect Acorn with their broader learning ecosystems — starting with a flexible, scalable integration model that avoids the overhead of bespoke solutions.
Changes ✨
AR-9682: Ability to manually verify new user email addresses
Admins can now manually verify a user’s email address by clicking an icon on the “Browse and Update Users” page. This is especially useful when a user has registered but not completed email verification, which previously blocked access.
Why did we do this?
To streamline the self-registration process by giving admins a simple way to resolve stuck accounts — reducing support overhead and helping new users get started faster.
AR-9696: Content Card activity count reflects total activities
Content cards now display the total number of actual activities in a course — not just distinct types. For example, 3 videos and 2 SCORMs now count as “5.” Labels are excluded from this total.
Why did we do this?
To provide a clearer, more accurate view of course content for both admins and learners.
AR-9179: Update the sort dropdown to render in the correct position
The sort-by dropdown has been adjusted to appear directly below its trigger, improving alignment and usability across views.

To clean up visual inconsistencies and make the interface feel more polished and predictable.
Bug Fixes 🐞
AR-9695: Required date fields in Partnered Content now show red indicators
Fixed an issue where required date fields in Partnered Content forms didn’t display red text, making it unclear why submission was blocked.
AR-10004: Partner content completion sync is failing for AWS Skills
Resolved an issue preventing AWS-related partner content from properly syncing completions.
This is also the first task number over 10,000. We certainly write a lot of code.
AR-9957: GET content API call returns fatal error
Resolved an issue where the /content API could fail when certain related content was missing, due to the system not handling null values properly.
AR-9629: Screen reader navigation issues in Compliance Checklist widget
Fixed issues where screen readers skipped key content, misread interactive elements, or followed an illogical tab order in the Compliance Checklist widget.
AR-9631: Tab contrast does not meet WCAG standards
Adjusted the background colour of selected tabs on Course and Live Learning pages to meet accessibility contrast requirements.
AR-9610: Program Compliance reporting widget not caching
Resolved a problem where the Program Compliance widget’s background caching job was failing silently. The job now completes successfully or logs clear errors when issues occur, improving reliability and debuggability.
AR-9590: Text panel overlaps table in Capability Details Report
Resolved a visual layout issue where the text panel extended beyond its container and overlapped the table.
AR-9677: Validation error persists after selecting checkbox
Fixed an issue where validation errors remained visible after correctly filling out checkbox fields in Momentum forms.
AR-9673: Completions service throws error on invalid content types
Added validation and fallback handling to ensure errors aren’t thrown when invalid content types are passed.
AR-9533: Download file from resource doesn’t force download
Fixed behavior so resource files now download instead of opening in the browser.
AR-8788: Date Time fields now read-only on submitted forms
After form submission, Date Time fields now appear in a static, text-only format.
