Tenancy vs Shared Discounts

Acorn LMS supports two types of discounts: Tenancy Discounts and Shared Discounts. Understanding the difference helps you apply the right discount for your use case.

Tenancy Discounts

A Tenancy Discount is a discount allocated exclusively to your tenancy. Other tenancies on the platform cannot access or use your Tenancy Discounts.

Use Tenancy Discounts when you want to restrict discount access to your own organisation's users, such as internal employees.

Shared Discounts

A Shared Discount can be applied across multiple tenancies on Acorn LMS. Unlike Tenancy Discounts, a Shared Discount is not restricted to a single tenancy — instead, an admin selects which tenancies to share the discount with. This makes Shared Discounts ideal when you want to extend the same discount to partner organisations or multiple business units.
