How to Hide & Unhide Content

This guide will step you through how to hide and unhide content in the catalogue.

This feature is useful for when you are still drafting your content and don't want your users to see the course until it is in a production phase, or to restrict access to particular users.

Hiding and Unhiding a Course

By default, when this setting is applied - this course will only be accessible to users who are enrolled in the course, and/or responsible for course content. However there are 2 other hidden settings you can utilise if you wish:

  • Only visible from programs and sub-courses -  This is an alternate option to the 'visible for users who are enrolled' setting. This setting allows you to remove the course from the catalogue of enrolled users as well, so they can only access and view the course from a program or another course that it has been added to as a sub-course activity.

  • Bypass Hidden Link - Allows admins to generate and send a link to specific users to allow them to enrol themselves in the course, even when the course is hidden.

4. Once you have applied your hidden settings, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the UPDATE COURSE button.

Unhiding a Course

Follow the same process as hiding a course above, except you will uncheck the box 'Hide this course from un-enrolled learners in this tenancy'.

By default, when this setting is applied - this live learning will only be accessible to users who have been registered for a session by an Admin or Facilitator and/or responsible for this live learning content.

Like with the hidden courses, there are 2 other hidden settings you can utilise if you wish:

  • Only visible from programs and sub-courses -  This is an alternate option to the 'visible for users who are registered for a session' setting. This setting allows you to remove the live learning from the catalogue of registered users as well, so they can only access and view the live learning from a program or a course that this live learning has been added to as a sub-course activity.
