Managing Cohorts as a Cohort Manager User
This article guides cohort managers through the functions available to them.
The Cohort Manager role needs to be assigned to a user by an administrator. Instructions on how to assign a cohort manager, can be found within the How to Edit a Cohort guide.

View Users
A Cohort manager can view which users are assigned to the cohort via Admin > User Management > Manage Cohorts.
Remove Users
Cohort Managers can remove users from the cohort.

Navigate to the Manage Cohorts page via Admin>User Management>Manage Cohorts

Click the arrow icon to open the cohort

Click the REMOVE USERS button

Select the user/s you wish to remove

Click the CONFIRM button
Add Users
Cohort manager can add users to their cohort. Users can be added individually (inviting one user at a time) or in bulk.
Inviting a single user:

Navigate to the Manage Cohorts page via Admin>User Management>Manage Cohorts

Click the arrow icon to open the cohort

Click the Invite Users + button

Enter the username of the users you want to add in the username field

Click the CONFIRM button
Inviting multiple users via a Bulk Invite:

Navigate to the Manage Cohorts page via Admin>User Management>Manage Cohorts

Click the arrow icon to open the cohort

Click the Invite Users + button
- Click on the BULK INVITE button
- Click on the DOWNLOAD EXAMPLE button file and make sure you stick with the formatting in this example template when adding the users you wish to invite
- Browse your files for the saved data via the BROWSE FILES button, or drag and drop your file into the upload box
- Click on the Upload Invitations button.
Creating a New User
Administrators can set up a cohort, to allow a cohort manager to invite new user accounts. If this setting has been applied to a cohort you manage, you can create new user accounts for individuals who do not yet have an existing account. This will create the user account and add them to the cohort. To add new users, follow the same steps as adding an existing user above either individually or in bulk.
Manage User requests to Join
A cohort can be set up by an admin to allow users to request to join. If this has been applied to a cohort you manage, users can submit a request to join your cohort and you can approve or deny this request. To manage these requests:
- Navigate to the Manage Cohorts page via Admin>User Management>Manage Cohorts
- Click the arrow icon to open the cohort
- Click the MANAGE COHORT REQUESTS button
- Click on either the APPROVE or DENY button
Purchasing Content
There are 3 different ways in which a Cohort Manager can purchase content for users in their cohort:
Group Purchasing
Coupon Purchasing
Content License Purchasing
Cohort managers can purchase licenses in bulk and assign those licenses to users in their cohort.
- Navigate to the Manage Cohorts page via Admin>User Management>Manage Cohorts
- Click the arrow icon to open the cohort
- Click the MANAGE LICENSES button
From here you can manage licenses for the selected cohort, including:
Assigning Licenses
Un-assigning Licenses
Purchase Licenses
A cohort manager can purchase content for their cohort in two different ways. For Live Learnings you need to purchase via Option 2.
Option 1:
Purchase licenses from the Manage Licenses page within the cohort by clicking on the button with 3 dots and selecting Purchase More:
This will take you to the checkout page with the cohort already applied to the purchase. You then needs to enter the quantity of licenses you wish to purchase, click the Apply button and then complete the purchase.
Option 2:
Purchase content for the cohort via the content itself. When purchasing this way, be sure to apply the purchase option Purchase for Cohort. Then as above, enter the quantity of licenses you wish to purchase, click the Apply button and then complete the purchase.
NOTE: Clicking the Apply button after entering the quantity of licenses is very important as this triggers the recalculation of the purchase total for the quantity entered. Otherwise it will only process the purchase for 1 license.

Manage Course Enrolments
AR-6048 Allow Course Enrolment for licensed content for privileged various roles
Supervisors, user managers, and cohort managers can now enrol users in licensed courses from Admin > Course Management > Course Enrolment.
These privileged roles can now enrol a user in a licensed course if the user has a valid license, either paid for a licence, is part of a free cohort, or is managed by a cohort manager.
Previously, licensed courses were unavailable for course enrolment for supervisors, user managers, and cohort managers.
