What is a Program
This guide explains what a program is and directs you to further guides to assist you with creating and managing programs.
Programs allow Administrators to group content together and present it to users in a neat and structured way. Programs can also be used to enforce an order in which users must complete associated content, and to track compliance of users against a group of content.
Creating and Updating Programs
Administrators have the ability to create and update programs within the system. Content creators cannot create a program, but can be assigned as a facilitator by an administrator and can edit the program as a facilitator.
Managing Program Content
Once a program has been created, an administrator can add stages and content to the program. Each stage must contain at least piece of content to be saved. The type of content that can be added to a program can be any combination of existing courses, live learnings, resources, videos and pages. You can even add partnered content to your program (i.e from a 3rd party content provider or Acorn to Acorn integration).
Note: Each piece of content can only be added to the same program once.
Viewing Programs
There are three ways an administrator can provide an end user access to a program:
1. As long as the program has not been hidden by an administrator, users can access programs via the Catalogue.
2. If an administrator has pinned the program to the home page, users can access and view the program from their home page tab.
Note: Pinning a program to the homepage is managed within the program details.
3. Administrators can link users to a program using a content link widget. This is done within the homepage dashboard configuration.
Admins Only:
Administrators (but not other users) can also access programs via the Programs page from their Admin tab.
