Assessment

Checkbox

The Checkbox question type allows you to create a question for your quiz takers that prompts them to check the box associated with the correct option/s provided. You can create as many options as you wish, and you can designate as many of the options as correct or incorrect as you wish.

As shown above, the option will be incorrect by default until you click on the checkbox to designate it as a correct option.

Radio

The Radio question type is very similar to the Checkbox question, but displays radio buttons rather than checkboxes, and the quiz taker can only select one radio button option. Again, you can create as many options as you like, and you can designate as many of the options as correct or incorrect as you wish, but the quiz taker can only select one option (regardless of how many are designated as correct).

NOTE: As an admin when you are setting up your radio question, it will look like checkbox options, but rest assured, it will display as radio buttons to the users completing the quiz:

Ranked Order

The Ranked Order question allows admins to create questions that prompt their quiz takers to sort options into a ranked order. For example, in the below clip I have created a question which asks the user to sort the options provided into order of Highest to Lowest population.

Another way you can utilise this question type, is for fill in the blank questions. For example, you could prompt your quiz takers to fill in the missing words of a passage:

True/False

The True/False question type, as it suggests allows admins to create questions that prompt their quiz takers select whether the question or statement provided is true or false. Admins designate the correct answer by ticking the box next to True or False.

Single Line Text

The single line text question allows admins to create a question or statement for the quiz takers to respond to by typing their response rather than selecting from pre-determined options. The admin can set a specific character limit to restrict the length of response allowed. The user will be shown a single line text box to respond within:

Multiple Line Text

The multiple line text question is identical to the single line text question type above, except that the user will be shown a multiple line text box to respond within:

Instructional Text

The Instructional Text element allows admins to provide additional information to the quiz taker, add some design elements to the quiz, or insert pictures or media for the quiz taker to view before they answer a question/s. Here is an example of an Instructional Text element in a quiz that contains, text, an image, and an embedded video:

Section

Your quiz plus questions/elements are contained within sections. By default your quiz will have one section which contains all of your questions/elements. However you can add additional sections and separate your questions/elements out into different sections to so that you can apply different settings to questions within one section, from another section.

This allows you to:

  • Shuffle questions for the quiz taker within one section, but not another
  • Pool questions within one section but not another
  • Apply a minimum percentage the quiz taker must achieve in a particular section

NOTE: The section is not visible to the quiz taker, but you can set the quiz settings to display all questions from a section on one page via the Presentation settings for the overall quiz. For morn information on the presentation and other quiz plus settings see Coming SOON - Guide on Configuring Quiz Plus Settings.
