Troubleshooting: Supervisor Tab Not Visible or Missing
Why the Supervisor tab is missing and steps to restore it.
Overview
The Supervisor tab in Acorn — which allows supervisors to view their team's training activity, completions, and compliance — can disappear or become inaccessible.
Step 1: Impersonate the supervisor
- Impersonate the user to check if the issue is isolated. See How to Impersonate a User for more details.
Step 2: Confirm team members are linked to the supervisor
The Supervisor tab only shows useful data when the supervisor has team members assigned to them. Even if the role is correct, the tab may appear empty — or in some tenancy configurations, not display at all — if no users have this person set as their supervisor.
- Search for users who should report to this supervisor.
- Open each user's profile and confirm the Supervisor field points to the correct person.

Step 3: Clear cache and reload
Role changes sometimes require a fresh session to take effect. Ask the user to log out, clear their browser cache, and log back in before checking again. See How to clear caches and cookies for more details.
