How to Upload Your Own Capability Library in Acorn
This guide walks you through uploading a capability library using your own CSV file in the Acorn Capabilities Module.
To upload your own capability library in Acorn, navigate to the Capability Dashboard, select Upload your own Capability Library, define your proficiency levels, upload a formatted CSV file, and confirm publication. The steps below walk through the full process.
If you don’t have a capability framework yet, you can download and edit our template to get started.

To upload your own capability library, follow these steps:
Before you begin
Make sure you have:

A CSV file of your capability library (or plan to use the downloadable template)

A defined list of proficiency levels (e.g. Foundational, Proficient, Advanced)
How do I upload my own capability library?

Navigate to the Capability Dashboard.

Click Set Up Capability Library.

From the dropdown, select Upload your own Capability Library.

Click Add Proficiency Level.

Enter each of your organisation’s proficiency levels (e.g. Foundational, Proficient, Advanced).

Click Next.

On the next page, upload your CSV file:

If you’re unsure of the correct format, click the Download Template link on screen.

Update your file to match the template format if needed.

Click Choose File (or drag and drop your file into the upload area) to attach your CSV file, then click Next.

Review your capability library:

Ensure capability sets, capabilities, and proficiency levels display correctly.

If everything looks correct, click Confirm on the Ready to Publish page.

Your capability library is now uploaded and ready to use across the platform.
