Release 1.7.9 - 08 April 2026
Release 1.7.9 brings expanded flexibility for capability assessments, improved integration options for Acorn to Acorn setups, and a handful of quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes across the platform.
What's New 🎊
AR-9787 No Supervisor Option for Capability Assessments
Organisations can now configure capability libraries to operate without supervisor assessments. When the "No Supervisor Assessment" setting is enabled for a library, all supervisor-related functionality is removed or adjusted across the platform — including supervisor assessment forms, ratings, scorecard marks, spider graph data, campaign progress tracking, reports, notifications, email templates, and export options. The system operates in a self-reflection only mode where only self-assessments are available.
This is a comprehensive change that touches every area of the capability assessment experience: the user profile's rating section, assessment history and history modal, campaign progress bars and modals, gap analysis reports, assessment type filters, the capability dashboard, and notification and email systems. Both the frontend UI and backend data layer enforce the setting, ensuring supervisor data is neither displayed nor created when the option is active.
If you wish to enable this setting, please contact support.
Why did we do this? Some organisations use capability assessments purely for self-reflection and do not require a supervisor review step. Previously, supervisor-related UI elements and workflows were always present, creating confusion and unnecessary complexity for these customers.
Changes ✨
AR-9967 Acorn to Acorn — Custom User Fields in Username Pattern
The Username Pattern configuration for Acorn to Acorn integrations now supports custom user profile fields, in addition to the existing standard options (email, ID, username). Administrators can select a custom field — such as a "Personal Email" or an external ID field — from a dropdown when configuring how accounts are matched between systems.
Why did we do this? Some clients store a unique identifier in a custom profile field that doesn't correspond to standard fields. This change allows those fields to be used for cross-system account matching, improving accuracy for organisations with non-standard identity setups.
AR-10240 Likert Fields Now Use Range Sliders on Mobile
On mobile viewports, Likert scale fields now display as range input sliders instead of the radio button table. Each question renders its own slider with tick marks for the discrete values, the first and last option labels always visible, and the selected value shown beneath. On desktop, the Likert field continues to render as the standard radio button table.
Why did we do this? The radio button table required horizontal scrolling on small screens and had touch targets too small for reliable thumb input — the range slider eliminates both issues.
Bug Fixes 🐞
AR-10247 Badge Congratulations Modal No Longer Clips Long Badge Names
The congratulations modal now fully displays badge names of any length — previously, long names were truncated at the bottom, causing some words to be cut off.
